Filming this Winter Break

So me and my friends are planning on filming a short WWII movie over winter break. This is going to be an epic short because our costumes, gear, and weapons are awesome. Hopefully it will snow a little too. That would give it a nice winter feel. I suggest to anyone to make a short film over break. Come up with something original and creative. Get some friends together and film it. It doesn't have to be all work and no play. Have fun and enjoy each others company and create an awesome movie.

Making props for cheap

As you know I am a person who wants my props to look real but without the paying of my hard earned cash. So to do so I research the prop I want to build and gather as much information on it. I'm talking about finding dimensions of the height, width, length, thickness, and overall details. I have found that the prop can look alright but when you add in all the little details it makes the prop look like the real thing. Here are a few that me and my friend have created over the years.

I know they are all WWII weapons but they are only a small part of my prop collection. So if you need props for your movie find what you can around the garage or go to a hardware store and spend 5 bucks on wood.

Short Films

I have noticed that I have made a few short films ranging from 5 to 10 mins long. Most of them are serious to a degree but some are also funny. The other day I was sitting around and an idea for a short funny film came into my head. I want to film it soon and see how it turns out. I think if a person comes up with a short film he or she should film it whether they are into short films or regular feature films. I don't really want to tell you about my idea but I will say it deals with breakfast. If you have an idea for a short film, film it and post it so I can see it. Or just send me the link.
